The Story of a Father Son and a Brand.  All great stories begin with a struggle and end with a smile.  Our story is no different.  A father and son at odds growing up with a captivating difference on the gift we call life. This is a story of a father, son and a brand in a tribute to our experience with Elton John

You know, a father wanting the very best for his child, and a child eager to explore, the rebel inside at war against every authority.  All the while, circumvented by a mother that created and orchestrated the battle.  Anyone growing up with divorced parents can relate.  We all share that common bond of separation anxiety, abandonment and the frustrating decision of choosing a side.

The marrow of life is the relationship where a good father weaves the wisdom of his soul into his son that creates an immortal family chain for many future generations.

Our story begins with a tiny dancer in our hands that divided our lives and left us with the struggle of selfish action, poor decision making, high infidelity and abandonment.

The story began bitter like the Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone, yet the end was so sweet like “Your Song’ where I hope you don’t mind, I hope you don’t mind……how wonderful life is, now you’re in the world.

After many years of combat and internal struggle, you finally realize the truth.  The only option is forgiveness.  Life eventually uncovered the vale of false accusations called reality.   The feelings were misplaced on an erroneous path during youth by motherly deceit.   Forgiveness became the only outcome in the story.

“Forgive but do not forget, or you will be hurt again. Forgiving changes the perspectives. Forgetting loses the lesson.” ~ Paulo Coelho

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

This is your song father, a story is my gift to you, as the eloquent words of Elton John dance between each musical note, “I hope you don’t mind, I hope you don’t mind, that I put down in words.  How wonderful life is,now you’re in the world.”  Extremely grateful for the opportunity to share a moment in life with such an incredible artist together as father and son.   An experience  the marrow of this thing we call life.

Thank you, father, Elton John is one of my most favorite artists.  It was an incredible experience and enhanced by your presence.  On that night in San Diego every word danced between the elements created by the love of a father for his son.  Forever grateful.  You are my BEST friend “Pops”

“Should of stayed on the farm and listened to my old man.” ~ Elton John

In branding and marketing we must identify the bitterness and sweet elements of any  brands story to create human emotion to allow humans to empathize with a story. As in the story above it creates personal growth for others who share similar challenges in life.  Create tremendous opportunities by pulling your audience into your story (vs) pushing your brand and the story to your audience.

Creating empathy and emotion in your brands story creates growth – Here’s why:

  • Your target audience will have a better time identifying with your brand connecting via emotion and human empathy – This creates a pull strategy and unique new opportunities (vs) pushing your brand and story into the noise that may be heard

  • It creates stronger relationships because if your brand becomes emotionally attached to your audience they are more likely to support it

  • It creates ambassadors of your brand – People share your story and brand when it has created a deep internal emotion, they can relate to it as they do another human being
